Well, our pre-season has been full of ups and downs, but overall we are learning a LOT! The most important thing of all is that we are getting better. At times we play really really amazing and we look unbeatable... then at other times it is quite the opposite. However, all in all, we have a really wonderful team that works hard and enjoys playing the game together. That is something you just don't find everywhere.
In our first tournament at Woods Cross, we played a lot of really good teams and competed with a lot of really good teams. We came out of the tournament with only a few losses, and a really exciting win against Northridge! That felt really good to beat them.
The next weekend we played in the Northridge tournament. It would be an understatement to say we struggled a little bit, but it gives us something to work towards. I am happy to know that the team wants to improve and they want to get better. We definitely will be getting better from this last weekend. We learned that we cannot just expect to win, we have to fight for every point. I think it will help us a lot knowing this as we get started into our season this week against the Layton Lancers on Thursday at home. We are really excited to play some region matches and show everyone how good we really are!
Thanks so much to the parents and fans who have already been supporting as at our tournaments. We appreciate you so much!
