{Pre-Tryout Meeting}

If you missed the Pre-Tryout Meeting, there was a lot of VERY important information that we went over. I will post all of the logistical information here.


The first thing you need to know: Tryouts are August 11th & 12th from 8 am until 11 am in the Viewmont High School MAIN Gym.

BEFORE YOU MAY TRYOUT.... You must register and create an account on https://home.registermyathlete.com

There is information that a parent or guardian must provide, so it would be a good idea to register on that site with your parent or guardian. This will take place of the tryout checklist form that we have used in the past.

Once again... YOU CANNOT TRYOUT IF THIS STEP IS NOT COMPLETED!

We went over Team & Practice Policies and Costs for those athletes that are selected for the team as well as a brief overview of some of the fundraising opportunities our team participates in. 

We are getting so excited for the season to begin! Cannot wait until August 11th to see you all in the gym! 

Pre Tryout Volleyball Meeting

There will be a Pre-Tryout meeting for all athletes that will be trying out for the volleyball team.

This meeting will be held at:

 

Viewmont High School in

Coach Brewer's room, Café East (146)

on Wednesday July 30th from 7 to 8 pm.

 

Anyone planning on trying out will need to be in attendance as we will be going over tryout registration, paperwork, time and team requirements for those who make the team, cost, etc. Please plan on attending.

 

If you cannot attend, please get in contact with someone who will be attending and have them get the information for you so you are prepared and able to tryout on August 11th at 8 am in the main gym. Thank you!

******2014-2015 UPDATE******

 

Coach Brewer here! I am so excited to be back with my Viking Ladies and ready to tackle the 2014-2015 volleyball season! I hope you are all ready to do the same!

 

Here is some info about upcoming practices, camps, etc.

 

 

Open Gym

will be held in April & May on THURSDAYS from 3-5 pm!

 

We will be in the Main Gym. The first 30 minutes will be conditioning and the last hour and a half will be playing/training.

Get excited and invite anyone who might be interested in trying out next year!

 

 

 

Summer Camp

will be held June 9th-13th in the VHS Main Gym from 4-7 PM!

Info can be found in the Summer Camp tab on this blog as well as in the Main Office at VHS.

There will also be a kids camp that will be held from 2-3:30 in the SMALL GYM the same week. See flyer in the summer camp tab or in the Main Office for more information.

 

 

Utah State University Team Volleyball Camp

June 25th - 29th Cost is $200 - This covers food, lodging, and the camp (I will pay for transportation). All returners have had the opportunity to sign up. If you would like to attend, I have 2 spots left! Contact me at mbrewer@dsdmail.net to secure your spot and to get the forms needed for attendance. If you have a spot and you have not yet paid, please pay your $200 to the Main Office by April 11th and bring your receipt to me. Thank you! 

 

 

2014-2015 Viewmont Viking Volleyball Tryouts!

 

Tryouts this year will be held on August 11th & 12th from 8 am until 11 am in the Main Gym. Please arrive early on day one to fill out information and to get warmed up before tryouts begin. More info will be posted later.

Season Overview & Summer Camp!

The 2012 season is over and the Vikings had a great year with many ebbs and flows, but overall much success! We finished Region 2 going 7-3 and placing 3rd in our Region. We were happy with our placement in the State tournament and won our first round in an upset win to 2nd seeded team, Layton. We then played a tough, hard-fought match against a solid Lehi team and lost in 5.

Overall, it was a terrific season and we are growing and getting better each passing year.

We are looking forward to our 2013 season, which feels like it is just around the corner! To prepare for volleyball tryouts, it is always a great idea to attend summer camps and clinics throughout the state.

Viewmont High School will be offering a volleyball camp June 10-14! If you are planning on trying out for the team in the Fall, it is smart to attend the camp in the spring. Here is the info:

Viewmont High School Volleyball Camp!

June 10-14

8th-12th grade    9am to Noon

K-7th grade        1pm to 3pm

Cost: $75 for the week. Includes a Camp T-Shirt and prizes at the end of the week!
